DR. DARYL BUSBY RESIGNS AS CBS PRESIDENT,
DR. ED STUCKEY APPOINTED AS INTERIM PRESIDENT
JULY, 2008

After many years of faithful service and dedication to CBS, our president Daryl Busby has decided to resign as President to focus more on teaching at ACTS, and will both move into the role as CBS Dean,  and act as the Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program.  Below, please see a brief statement from Daryl himself.

As CBS enters into this transition, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Ed Stuckey, recently resigned as  senior pastor at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church in Edmonton and Director of "The Journey" (a CBS joint initiative), will offer his leadership and guidance for CBS as President on an interim basis.  Click here to learn more about Ed and Janet Stuckey.

To friends of CBS:
"Shirley and I began our ministry together in 1976, with the stated desire to serve the Baptist General Conference of Canada and the broader Kingdom within our country.  We had no idea that we would eventually play such a pivotal role in preparing future leaders for the movement.  I began the role as President in August, 1997, and have been honored to serve in this position and work alongside so many remarkable people.  However, in order to return to the seminary classroom and to provide a stronger academic presence for our denomination within the ACTS Consortium, I have announced my resignation as President, effective August 1, 2008.  Shirley and I will continue to work within the BGCC, but from this new teaching role."

Four times a year, CBS mails out our newsletter, "The Edge".  If you are not already on our mailing list, please email Margo to have your name added, and you will receive the next edition of The Edge.
